It is a deceptively powerful treatment, and one of the most flexible I offer, adaptable to your preferences, your time, and your needs.
If you carry tension in your neck and shoulders, suffer from headaches, or simply feel the weight of your thoughts pressing down, this treatment is often exactly what the body has been asking for.
What to expect
Indian head massage is wonderfully flexible, it can be experienced in two different ways, and we'll always discuss which suits you best before we begin.
The traditional approach is seated and fully clothed, preferably in loose, comfortable clothing. Using acupressure, deep kneading of the shoulders and neck, circular scalp strokes, gentle facial pressure, and rolling movements along the upper back and shoulders, this is an accessible, highly effective treatment that requires no undressing and can be completed in a shorter session. Many clients find their minds quieting within minutes.
Alternatively, the treatment can be given lying down - clothed or unclothed - with the addition of warm oil, allowing for a deeper, more flowing experience that extends into the scalp and hair. This version feels closer to a full massage in its quality of relaxation, and many clients prefer it once they've experienced it.
